1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site. We operate on our own with no ties to any government office. We do not store official criminal records and we cannot pull records, run official background checks, or file documents for anyone.

It points toward the Jo Daviess County Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, and Illinois Sex Offender Registry, and may connect visitors with outside research tools. Illinois agency access follows the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, while ISP public conviction dissemination follows 20 ILCS 2635/2.1.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site

Information from this website or a linked tool may not be used to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may violate Illinois law. Illinois Sex Offender Registry data exists for public-safety awareness, not vigilante action or discriminatory use.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check for a regulated purpose must come from an FCRA-compliant screening company or the appropriate official Illinois State Police process.
